This research aims to 1) survey
problems, obstacles and opinion from the users of library and the Office of
Academic Resources and Information Technology, Dhounburi Rajabhat University;
2) study the guidance to develop services of the library and the Office of Academic
Resources and Information Technology; and 3) evaluate users’ satisfaction from library and
the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology’ services.
The finding indicates that most of users accessed
library and the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology’s
services for reading and searching key information 6-10 times a month in
average, they accessed the services through library services rather than
website during 12.00–13.00 regularly for borrowing and returning books. This
research fond the problems from user’s opinion in 5 dimensions as followings;
1) From information resource side, information resources such as publications and
media are mostly out-of-date. 2) For information technology side, there are
inadequate services. 3) There is no rest room and group study room in the
library for environment side. 4) Service side, there is no available printing service
in the library, and 5) Staff side, there is a lack of support from the staff to
provide services for the users of library. The proposed guidance from the
opinion of users indicates that the library should provide rest rooms and group
study room for environment side and staff side, the library should provide
adequate staffs to serve the users. In service side, library should allow user
to bring books for making copies out side the library, moreover, library should
frequently update all resource for information resource side. 3) the evaluation
of user’s satisfaction found that the users were satisfies overall services
from the library and the Office of
Academic Resources and Information Technology at high level (x =3.83), environment and information
resource are in the highest level equally (x=3.88), information technology side
is in high level, (x= 3.82), as well as
staff side (x=3.79) and the least score, service side is also in high level
(x=3.77) respectively.
