The purpose of this research was to investigate the
errors in Thai writing of the Chinese students from Guangxi Agricultural
Vocational College, Guangxi province, People's Republic of China, who had been
trained in the Thai Language and Culture for Communication for Foreigners
project at Dhonburi Rajabhat University. The research data was collected from
twenty two students’ diaries in a five-month period or one hundred and
twenty-three days. The results revealed that there were six types of errors
found in Thai writing of the Chinese students; 1) spelling, 2) word usage, 3)
sentence structure, 4) idiom usage, 5) numbering and 6) spacing and use of
punctuation marks.
